Eusebio delar sina tankar inför Herr A:s nästa match

Player-coach Eusebio shares his thoughts for Herr A ahead of this weekend’s match against Falkenberg  

What do you think has been the key to the team’s strong start?  

We have a mix of routinized players, who have been in this team for a few seasons, and some younger, talented players who develop fast and already from the first games made very important contributions.

 What are you taking with you from the loss against Habo C?

The loss against Habo C was very bitter. We didn't get the offensive performance that some our key players usually bring on the court, and we had a really difficult time killing the ball. This loss reminded us that we are playing in an extremely competitive league and on days when we don't play our usual level, every team can beat us.

How would you describe the team’s character or playing style?

I think this team is very dependent on having high energy on the court, from the sidelines, and from the audience. We play our best when we feel the support of those around us. On away games it takes an extra effort to find this energy, and that's why we are always so excited to play at home!  

What’s the atmosphere like in the team right now?

It's a very good. We all get along with each other and are friends off the court. We organize many activities outside of volleyball, which makes our bond stronger. We trust each other and know that everyone gives their best on the court. It hasn't always been like this in past years, and I think it's a very nice team feeling.  

Falkenberg are new to the league but have had a strong start - what are your thoughts ahead of that match?

Falkenberg is a great team. We played a test game against them before the season which we managed to win 3-1, but the result could've easily been the opposite. They are young, talented, and disciplined, and have an excellent coach. And already this season they've beaten teams that are well-established in Division 1. I expect a very tough battle with very good rallies. From our side, I hope we are able to bounce back from a tough loss with a good performance.
