Herr A - Summary of season 2024/2025

After winning Division 1 in 2023/2024, we entered this season with high expectations and an ambitious goal: advancing to the Elite Series. With most of our players returning, we were ready for the challenge.

However, it quickly became clear that this season was a very different beast. The league was significantly stronger, and we faced big difficulties along the way. Finding our identity as a team took longer than expected, and maintaining the team cohesion was very challenging at times. Some disappointing losses against Floby, Lund, Gothia, and Jonköping tested us both physically and mentally.

Despite the struggles, we fought hard until the very end. We narrowly missed out on second place, by just one point, finishing third in the division. Our final match against Jonköping ended in a heartbreaking loss, making the season’s conclusion even tougher to swallow.

But through all the challenges, this team showed resilience and dedication. Even after the toughest losses, this team showed up to every training ready to work hard and get better. While we fell short of our ultimate goal, we battled in one of the most competitive Division 1 seasons in years. We showed several times that we are able to play very high level volleyball, and the challenge we will face next season will be to show this in *every* game, not just some.
