USM debrief

Tough weekend at the USM.

We fought, we tried our best but we didn't quite reach our goal. Sometimes things just won't go our way. But that doesn't mean it was a bad weekend. We played our best rugby ever at times. We went home from this tournament much stronger, both as individuals and as a team!

We learned so many valuable lessons, both in attack and especially in defence. Something we've been strugling with the whole season.

I'm immensely proud of our lads, their effort and their spirit of never giving up!

They fought like true warriors!!

Huge thanks to all the parents travelling up to support the team, means so much to the team!

It's so great to have you on site, to chat with you, to get feedback and when you cheer the lads onwards! Big love from the whole team to you!

For this great team it is not always about the win it’s the development journey- putting in the work, recognising the gaps and where to improve and not to be daunted by the other team. The team pulled together to get the reward they were looking for in the end game. The score was irrelevant but it showed how listening to their fabulous coach and each other got the job done.
