Amazing weekend

Such an amazing weekend for the U14's. 

First travelling to Lund to face Lugi/Malmö U14's on Saturday. What a great performance they put up. Cheered on by the Ladies and Men's team, they played the best rugby this season. It was amazing to see. How they fought together as a team, all the training we've put in was really showing on the pitch. 4x10 minutes was played, but sadly the southern boys beat us by 1 try, so it was a bit disheartening, they really wanted to get a win down south. But they were still happy when they realised how good they played compared to the spring season. So proud of our lads!

Day 2 of rugby, minifestival in Partille and we all felt a bit tired from Saturday rugby. But we went in with high spirits into the game. Sadly Vänersborg/Karlstad players are mostly second year U14's, meaning they're more developed and stronger, but also have great talent. So it was a tough game from the start. We did however put in one hell of a fight at the start. But slowly the other team took over more and more of the game and started putting tries. But we made them fight for every try scored. First game ended with heads held down and in the break in between the games, I had to find their courage and something to fight for. We had a good peptalk and I got their spirits up for the second game. We also gave ourselves a goal. To score 1 try. And how they went out there, they all fought and really pushed themselves. They were tired from yesterday, they were bruised and beaten, but they never gave up. And the reward came from the absolute last play of the game when they scored a try! How much it meant to them, the whole squad cheered as it would of been the winning try, and for them, it really was just that!

Great weekend for rugby, great lessons learned and a great preparation for the upcoming USM in two weeks. Really looking forth to it!

Now just iron out some small things in the last trainings before it.
