Arlanda Game Preview
2012 Season Opener at Arlanda on Saturday the 14th. We have had an exciting preseason with many changes and this season is definitely going to be fun. The league promises to be competitive and for us there will be no easy games.
Arlanda is a good opponent for us to start off with. Like us, they have an import QB and an import DL. I believe that these 4 players will be make plays this weekend, but they will cancel each other out. This game will be decided by the other Swedish players on the field.
You never know exactly what kind of team you have until the first game. We have noticed things at practice, but it is difficult to know how our guys will stack up to what the other teams have. Arlanda has had a good-sized offensive line with solid running backs. Now that they have an import Qb, I expect them to be more balanced. Defensively, they play with good fundamentals and it will be important for us to take care of business up front on the line.
Arlanda Post Game
Important win yesterday versus Arlanda (21-14). Going into the game I was a bit concerned about our situation on the offensive line, as we were working with several back-ups and new players. I was pleased with the job they did and the way Ethan moved around in the pocket to find receivers.
On defense, we forced three interceptions and made some big hits. There were some problems with coverage that we need to work on. Overall, I was happy with a the way our guys were flying around.
We did a good job with our punt and kickoff return games as well. Several players had productive games.
