Carlstad Preview
It is going to be a fun trip to Carlstad this Sunday. With a win, we can move into 2nd place in the Series with home field advantage in the playoffs. Just being in the situation where we can entertain that possibility is great.
We will go into the game with a 2 game win-streak and a previous victory over Carlstad earlier in the year. Carlstad is a proud team and they will be prepared and play well. We will have to stop their Qb, he is a the key to their powerful running game. Our defense will need to tackle well for us to have a chance to win.
Offensively, the key for us will be the offensive line. We feel like our Qb and receivers will always be able to make some plays, but we need to avoid sacks and hurries and stay in situations where we can pick up first downs.
Carlstad Postgame
We had a long, tough day on defense. Carlstad was able to run effectively whenever and wherever they wanted, and this eventually opened up their passing game and they hit us for some big plays. We had a few starters missing, but I am not sure that made the difference.
Offense and special teams played decently. We had another good day passing the football and putting some points on the scoreboard versus a good defense. We lost Damien Scanella on the opening drive with a broken foot and we hope for a full and speedy recovery.
