Uppsala Pregame
We will host Uppsala in the last regular season home game this Sunday. The 86ers are coming off an important win last weekend over Stockholm.
They have enough good players at different positions to cause us some problems. A strong offensive a defensive line, with good size presents us with a challenge. We are used to playing teams with bigger athletes and we will need to compensate by attacking with our quickness.
They have some playmakers on both sides of the ball that can score quickly, so we will need to keep them in check and limit their big plays. We played pretty well offensively last weekend, and had success against them last time we played, so we will look to continue that Sunday.
Uppsala Postgame
Nice victory yesterday, 47-30 versus Uppsala. We were able to play and evaluate everyone yesterday and get an closer look at the players we will be counting on to help us win games in the post-season. Their import Qb was tough on our defense. He was a few steps faster than the guys we had on the field. Credit goes to our opponent, who played us hard the entire game.
Our offense scored 40+ for the second straight week. We continued to have good success passing the ball and our running game looked better than it has all season.
The win gives us a record of 6-3 going into the final regular season game of the year against Carlstad. We will be fighting for a #2 seed and home field advantage in the playoffs.
