Arlanda Pregame
We will look to get back on the winning track after a setback last weekend. We will play at home for the 2nd straight week when we meet Arlanda this Saturday.
Arlanda has always been a team that we go back-and-forth with recently. It seems like every year the situation is the same: We win = we go to playoffs, We lose = they go to playoffs. This year that is the situation and this is the biggest game of the year for us.
We will need to play our best game of the season. Our offense will need to improve the pass protection and slow down the pass rush of their defensive line. Defensively we will have to stop the Jets rushing attack, which hurt us last time we played them.
It should be an exciting game.
Arlanda Postgame
What a fun game yesterday! Arlanda gave us everything we could handle and it is too bad that there has to be a loser in a game like that. We are two teams that are very evenly matched and the fans got their money's worth Saturday.
The win puts us in a good position to make the playoffs, but it is still too early to guess what will happen in the Series. We will go into the next game with Uppsala with the same "must win" approach.
Although our offense put up the most points of the season, we were not perfect, dropping quite a few catchable balls. Our offensive line impressed yesterday, allowing our passing game to thrive. Time and time again our offense traded scores with Arlanda and made some big-time plays at crucial moments.
Defensively we gave up too much. There were several unnecessary penalties which gave Arlanda too many 2nd chances. We did score on a fumble return and we did stop their offense on the last drive when it really counted. Overall, a great team win.
