Carlstad Pre Game
13 aug 2014
Last Week
Last weekend Stockholm played well enough to beat us by one point in a low scoring game. We were very disappointed with the result and there are not too many positives to share regarding the game.
Our Offense
We came out extremely flat offensively last week and we never got things going. Our offense is built around our quarterbacks and they have to be healthy, smart and prepared in order for us to score points. Emil Sundstrom Edland will miss this game and the rest of what has been an injury-plagued season for him. We will need to rely on Barney O''donnell to lead our offense the rest of the way.
Our Defense.
We did well last weekend and we''ve done a solid job all year. This weekend will be different, Carlstad has many weapons on offense and they will make their plays. We will do our best to slow them down and make them earn their points.
Key to the Game
Several players have left for the USA to study, we have some out with injuries, and several attending a wedding. We will be limited and we will ask many of our players to play both sides of the ball. This will be a great test of courage, pride and toughness, and we''re looking forward to it.
Go Bulls!
Carlstad Post Game
17 aug 2014
Carlstad has a very good team and they demonstrated their talent yesterday and won our game easily. We came to the game understanding that it would be difficult for us to keep up with them. We used most of our players on both offense and defense and we simply didn't have enough good players to play with yesterday.
Prior to the game we talked about it being a test of courage. The biggest compliment for our team was that we held together and never lost patience and we continued to fight through a lot of adversity.
We have a chance to end the season on a high note. We will prepare for next week's home game with the goal of winning.
Go Bulls!
