Herr C with super successful home match day

On Sunday, 23rd of February the Men’s C team had a home match day. Highly motivated, we gathered in Valhalla hallen to face Skara and Ravens with Erik (S), Abe (S), Bobby (OP), Ross (OP), Chen (OP), Arvid (MI), André (MI), Chao (MI), Artem (OH), Adam (OH), Aleksejs (OH), Dennis (L) and Sim (L). Our second libero had his first appearance borrowed from our D team.

First match against Skara from the perspective of our MVP Dennis:

"After our loss against Skara last time, we have improved tremendously. Aside from set 2 we had a lead on Skara during the majority of the sets. What we were playing that day I can confidently say was truly systematic volleyball!" We won a solid 3:0 match with an amazing come back in set 2 from 15:22 with 8 consecutive points and a nail-biting finish at 28:26. Our mental strength was impressive that day. 

Our second match of the day against Ravens demanded a lot of focus on our game to not get sucked into the confusing play style of our opponents. MVP was our setter Erik who describes the match:

"Although statistically a weaker team, Ravens showed up with immense energy which matched well with their chaotic style. However our level of play proved to be solid; consistent serves, attacks and blocks dismantled them in three sets. Somewhat troubling was a lapse of concentration early on which we need to get on top of in order to minimize losing easy points. Ultimately though we played well, gained another three points and went home with smiles on our faces!"

Great effort and without a single set loss, this was a very successful sammling.
