As many players are not coming to tonight's (Friday, 9 Jan) practice we will have open court instead.

Dear players and parents,

Tonight we had a team meeting where we were talking about upcoming spring part of the season and steps that we are taking to improve the practices and opportunities for all our players both in a short and long run.

The problem that we had since the start of the season was that our Div1, Div2 and U19 teams were having problems with player availability during practices and games - we just don't have enough players for 3 practice groups/squads. 
It was common that during practice week that we averaged 8-9 players in some teams and that was creating difficulties during games and weekends.

Solution that we believe is the best option at this time is to merge 3 teams in to 2 squads so that each practice has around 17-18 players on the court.

Now we will have Div1/Div2 team and U18 team (2 practice squads) that will compete in Div1, Div2 and HU18 Westra series.

Players from both groups/squads will be available to play across any of the 3 levels according to the need for that particular weekend.

We strongly believe that this change will improve competitiveness and motivation for all the players during both games and practices. Additional player movement between the practice squads will be possible if the need for it arises with consultation between coaches and players.

Slight change in the weekly practice schedule will be published in the next day or two directly to Svenskalag calendar.

We hope that everyone can understand that changes of this type during a season is not something we were planning, but we are standing ready to make necessary steps and decisions to direction that will benefit all our members and our club as a whole.
