Match versus ÅS IF at Hofvallen

After the tough match versus Dvärsätt, club focus has been on continuing the good work in the ethics of Cosmos(more can be read soon) with the Star Finder Academy and also preparing for a new game versus Ås IF.
The game is just five days after the last game so we are hopeful all the boys have recovered and are ready to go.
Due to the new pitch at Jämtkraft Arena, our game will be played at Hofvallen - classical ground.
Ås is a young team, with a few experienced players so we need to stick to our game plan and everyone(as always) has to be 100% committed and focused through the match. We are getting better week by week, so we are hopeful of a good performance today.
Another very positive note, is that our spectators also are increasing week by week! We appreciate each and every one of you turning up, means so much to us so we hope to see more new faces today - because we are getting stronger together!

A hard fought match

We knew we had to bounce back from the defeat versus Dvärsätt. It was a game we lost with large numbers, but as a team we stood for a good team performance versus a better team.
The question was if we now could maintain that team spirit and get a result? Ås was our opponent on natural grass down at Hofvallen, and first half we managed to keep a high intensity game with good standards in a lot of aspects in the game. Defensive and offensive, some really good pattern and we also managed to go in halftime 1-0 up.
Second half was nowhere near what we expected, it became a proper battle with some physical play and a tight scoreline. Even though Ås managed to score, we also scored a second and came out on top winners - 2-1. A great, great feeling and all the boys gave, once again, 100% in a game with difficult periods to manage. The win itself gives us three points and a belief that we can win games, but more importantly the boys once again never gave in and gave 100%.
Regardless if you start the game or come on as a substitute, the effort was fantastic and that is a sign o strenght in our squad and that we are slowly building a culture where we support each other, all the time. That culture is more important than any match result, and we are super proud of the progress we gradually make.
We now have 9 days rest before we travel to east Jämtland to play Stugun the 15th of June.
