Today Lag Lila played there first match of the season home against the biggest team in our division BK Häcken. We talked to the girls before the game on the importance of remaining focused, giving their best for the whole match and implementing the things we have been working on in training every week.  

The game started very evenly, with Häcken managing to create some good chances by pressing the ball in numbers and forcing us into giving the ball away a little bit too easily. After about 5 minutes we had calmed down a little and Chloé started to take control of the midfield, backed up by some very solid defensive displays from Elsa (captain for the day) and Leiah H.  

The match started to turn in our favour after 10 minutes when Cornelia passed the ball through to Maya who finished with a low shot past the goalkeeper. Häcken put up a very spirited performance and were well organised, but ultimately we were able to create many more chances during the game and had the confidence to take them.   There were some very encouraging performances from all the girls today, special not goes to Klara W who played her first match with us today and provided 3 assists. Cornelia's goal from close to the half way line will remain long in the memory and it's great to see we have so many players who are able to play in different positions equally well.   Our next match against Askim will be a tough test, but we'll go into that confident after a job well done today.
