Presentation No.4 - Maximilian Weber
7 mar 2017 0 kommentarer
The next presentation is going to be a bit different from the others, at least if you look at the language. Our next player up for the spotlight is our German friend Maximilian Weber. Resident in the southern part of Germany called Bavaria, Maxi has already learned us a lot about the region, for example the many different kinds of beer….
Tell us about you background as a football player?
Before I moved to Sweden I played my youth career as well as senior career in a club called VfB Durach, located in the southern part of Germany. Because of that I always was the tallest player in the team my position was often in the defensive line. I still believe that my length is an advantage even in older days and therefore my heading is one of my stronger sides as a football player.
What was your experience of Kode IF before you moved to the club?
Maybe this doesn’t come as a big chock but unfortunately Kode isn’t that well-known down i Germany. Before I moved to Sweden and had a look around on Google, I was unaware of the clubs existence.
How did you get in contact with Kode IF?
As mentioned above I used Google a lot to find different clubs in the area suitable for me. Whilst I was looking one of my co-workers gave me some good insider information about Kode as a club and city. By the good recommendations from my colleague I used my already well known skills to search the web for some contact in Kode.
I got in contact with coach Peter Lundström and I started to train with the team in pre-season 2016. Even though I’ve been in the club almost a year now I’m still waiting for my debut in an official league game. It took some time for me to register in the club but since a couple of months ago I’m officially a Kode IF player.
After your first year at the club, what feelings and experiences do you carry with you?
At the beginning there were a lot of question marks for me, the way we play and act in Germany is a bit different than in Sweden. For a concrete example I had no idea who worked at the club, nor did I have a single clue of who took care of all the trainings clothes at daytime.
In Germany we had a lot of social activities, often connected to trainings and games. Even if it not happens as frequent here in Sweden I really appreciate when we do things as a team outside of the training ground. No matter if we go bowling, shuffle boarding or just eating dinner together, all of those things are good experiences that I’ll carry with me.
Imagine yourself as one of the top scoring players in the team this season. Describe to me how your dream goal would take part?
Since heading is as strong part of my game the dream goal will be made from a corner kick.
Pretend that the first game of the season is well-played match with a tie on the scoreboard when we get a corner kick in the additional time; Mikael Larsson is taking the corner from the right. As I rush towards the goal, knocking down defenders like never before, Larsson whips it in perfectly at the first post. I put my head to the ball and it neatly touches the bottom of the crossbar in the first corner. Top class goal and as a celebration for the goal I’ll remake the robot saluting my all-time favorite player Peter Crouch.
If you were in lead of a successful radio podcast, what would you be talking about?
I am very interested in financial trades and therefore I would talk about all my best tips and tricks to be succesfull.
What are your best tips and tricks?
The most important thing when it comes to financial trades is to be well prepared regarding the subject or the industry that you are going to invest in. When I look at interesting trades I always take some time to learn more about it before I put my money there. I always keep an eye out for big fusions between existing companies as well as fissions between companies. Making financial trades in the raw material industry is a good things as well as the prices often are more stable than other trades.
Thank you for all your words Maxi, we wish you the best of luck this season!
