Two points from an enemy territory

Lund C - Herr B 2-3
(25-17, 20-25, 25-23, 20-25, 10-15
The C team from Lund is a group of young talented players, and it is not a good idea to underestimate them on their home ground. They have an experienced coach that pulls the right card at the right moment. However, him making the loudest "supportive sounds" exactly during our serving was a funny thing to experience. 🙂
The start of the match was not entirely in our hands - after 300km drive it can be difficult to tell if you are still on the highway or already on the field. We did not get a grip on the game at all which resulted in loss of 25-17.
After important words from our libero and assistant coach Erik we had an awesome entrance to 2nd set with Arash serving up to 0-7! We used that advantage responsibly and took the set 20-25.
A terrible thing happened in the 3rd. At first, we gained a lead of 15-20 thanks to Mahmoud's killer floating serves and unstoppable center combo Arash-Ali, but then the tides changed. We managed to stay in the game till 20-23 but then the guys from Lund showed us how to come back - 25-23.
Erik stepped up with his coaching qualities once again and we jumped to 4th set with 1:8 and continued to play our game. After Ala's crushing blow from the outside hitter position, our competitors lost any hopes of turning that set (Bam! If I were on Lund’s side, I wouldn't play without a helmet!) Tie break time! We learned from our mistakes and didn't give them anything for free. Elias showed some strong nerves during those long-ass plays, took up the responsibility and did not make a single error. These plays lifted our spirit and we marched for the win of 10-15.
We traveled a lot of kilometers, so we decided to play a lot of volleyball. It was a nice five-setter and I thank all the players. I believe everybody gave his best.
